Summertime

With summer upon us, we would like to stay up-to-date with what our student athletes are doing this summer.

Coaches, let us know what your JPIICHS teams are doing over the summer – meetings for fall, summer practices, tournaments and/or awards, let us tell the rest of the JPIICHS community.

If your JPIICHS student is playing and excelling in a sport this summer,  or if you’re a JPIICHS Alum who attends college and excels in a sport, we want to know. Please send us a link to their newspaper article or photo of news clipping  Send it to Ken Silvestri, JPIICHS Athletic Director, so he can review the story for posting.

John Paul II coaches are used to losing players to all sorts of activities, like not having a complete team until the preceding sport seasons end, clubs, or those other school activities just mentioned.  We might be the only baseball program in town to lose both a starting pitcher and starting second baseman to a Latin competition. Panther’s Baseball Team Win

The John Paul II Catholic Panthers baseball team won Thursday’s away conference game against North Florida Christian by a score of 4-3.

“John Paul II knocked off NFC in the afternoon, 4-3, thanks to mult-hit, two-RBI days by Jordan Latimer and Nick Piazza. The Panthers are now 8-11 on the season and 3-3 in district. The Eagles drop to 15-5, 3-2, and Maclay slides into the top spot with the district tournament nearing.”  -Tallahassee Democrat
