Conroy leading John Paul II golf to new territory

‘When John Paul II golfer Teresa Conroy was in middle school, she was a lone wolf tracking down low scores.

Along the way she gained a pack to trail her alpha.

Conroy and fellow senior Grace Murray started the golf team as freshman. As sophomores and juniors the pair led the Panthers to the school’s first two state tournament appearances.

“It’s fun to represent John Paul II again,” said Conroy, the All-Big Bend Player of the Year the last two years and an All-Big Bend first team selection since eighth grade. “Our team is really talented and we’ve all been working really hard.”

Panther Volleyball team wins in close match

In a close match, JPII Ladies Volleyball team win in the end. Playing best of 5 games, they lost the first two games to go on and win the last three in a row.
Scores: 24-26, 20-25, 25-14, 25-15, 15-11 (3-2 Match).
Ladies will play in a tournament this weekend in St. Petersburg, FL.

JV also win match in 3 games playing best of 3. Match was also broadcast.

Panther Football win over Maclay

The John Paul II Catholic Panthers football team won Friday’s home non-conference game against Maclay by a score of 12-7.  Panthers scored 12 points in the first quarter, unable to convert for the the points after touchdown.

Maclay came back with a touchdown and extra point in the 3rd quarter, with a chance to go ahead with 1:30 left in the game, but unable to score on 4th down.
