Thanks to everyone for supporting JPII Basketball at the INAUGURAL JPII Panther Pride BASKETBALL FANtastic Event
The first ever Panther Pride event was held Tuesday, November 26th in the John Paul II Catholic HIgh School gym. The night consisted of many short basketball games. The Trinity boys and girls played an inter-squad game, the JPII boys played the JPII girls, the JPII varsity played the JPII alumni, and the JPII faculty played the Priests in a game of “Holy Hoops”. This event was a fundraiser for both JPII basketball teams. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us! Watch the game broadcast.
The evening lineup included:
- Local Priests* vs. JPII Faculty
- Fr.Tim vs. Fr.Tom: 3 point Challenge
- JV Men vs. Varsity Ladies
- JPII Alumni vs. Varsity Men
Let’s Go PANTHERS!
We are thankful for…basketball good times and Father Tim who can sink five (5!) 3-pointers in a row- talk about a Holy Hoopster!
Additionally, a very special THANK YOU to Ti Nixon and Anthony Van Gessel, the priests and seminarians from around the Diocese, the alumni and especially, the Basketball parents who provided the delicious chili for the marvelous night in the gym at our Inaugural Panther Pride Event! Let’s see if we can fill the gym like that again soon! It was wonderful seeing all of our friends and supporters from our community come together for such a FUN night!
