Men’s Basketball Sweeps Franklin County on Senior Night

Congratulations to the Panther JV team on their 47-32 victory over the Franklin County  Seahawks.  The Panthers got off to a blistering 20-3 start and never looked back.  Matthew Cowdrey led all scorers with 15 points.

The Panther Varsity team had a much tougher task, retaking the lead with under 2 minutes left in the game and holding on to win 47-41 to avenge a loss earlier this season.  Frank Tracy III led all scorers with 20 points, including 11 in the 4th quarter to help seal the win.

The win is the Panthers’ 4th win in a row and improves the Panthers overall record to 9-13.

Congratulations to our Seniors: Marshall Moyle, Justin Janicki, Luke Bates, Houston Palmer, and Sam Lewis on great careers

Men’s Basketball Dominates Jefferson County

After previously losing to Jefferson, the Panthers got their revenge at home with an incredible defensive effort, winning 52-24 and giving up only one point in the 4th quarter.  Marshall Moyle continued his impressive week with 15 points and 10 rebounds.  Houston Palmer added 8 points and 8 rebounds, and Frank Tracy  III added 12 points.  This is the Panthers second win in a row.

Men’s Basketball District Tournament at Home

Come out to JPIICHS and support the Panthers Men’s Basketball team at home as we take on NFC in the first round of the District tournament.

An automatic berth in the Regionals is at stake! JPII beat NFC at home, and lost in overtime at NFC earlier this year, so it should be a hard fought game.

Men’s Basketball District Semi Final JPII vs NFC – game starts at 7:00pm, February 6th  in the JPIICHS Gym.

Go Panthers!
